Seeing orange

When I walked into the coop this evening I was greeted by the sunset colors of fall. I had to share them with you in this brief blog post--brief because I, a Michitucky transplant, have to make my way northward for the holiday very soon. So here are a few beautiful orange fruits to sweeten your week.



The tangerines are $2.35 a pound and 4/4 beautiful coop taste-testers agreed that they are fabulous. The Hachiya persimmons are $2.35 each (weird!) and they need to turn to little orange bags of jelly before you eat them. Seriously, and unripe Hachiya is an affront to the taste buds, but a ripe one is rapturous.
